How to add SmartDocs Search Form anywhere on the site using shortcode?

Our SmartDocs plugin contains a Search Form that is displayed on the Hero Section of Docs Archive, Doc Category, and Single Doc page.

However, in case, you want to display the SmartDocs Search Form anywhere else on the site, you can use the shortcode smartdocs_search.

Below mentioned are the parameters of the shortcode smartdocs_search.

Parameters#

  • class - This parameter can be used to add an additional CSS class to the SmartDocs Search Bar. You can use the new class to style the Search Bar at your convenience.

    Example usage of the class  parameter along with Shortcode can be:
    [smartdocs_search class="smarttest-shortcode"] 

  • placeholder - This parameter can be used to change the placeholder value of the SmartDocs Search Bar. The default value of the placeholder is “Search for answers..”.

    Example usage of placeholder parameter along with Shortcode can be:
    [smartdocs_search placeholder="Search for answers.."]

  • title - This parameter can be used to change the title of the SmartDocs Search Bar. The default value of the title is “Search”.

    Example usage of title parameter along with Shortcode can be:
    [smartdocs_search class="smarttest-shortcode" title="Search" ]
